Proceed and Be Bold

Amos Kennedy

Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. is a printing press artist in Alabama, widely known for his controversial posters and book art. In Proceed and Be Bold, we follow Amos through art galleries to promote his work, and meet the people who "understand him even better than he can," as he puts it, in an effort to learn about what causes him to create his charged works of art, and how people react to them.

April 20, 2008 : Screening of Proceed and Be Bold

March 4, 2008 : Premiere of Trailer

Our March 1st fundraiser at the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative was a huge success. At the fundraiser, about 80 of Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.'s posters were sold and we premiered the official trailer for Proceed and Be Bold. View the trailer here, and read more about the event in the blog.

February 21, 2008 : Filming in Chicago

Laura and Michelle interviewed Tom Greensfelder of Greensfelder Designs for Proceed and Be Bold. Tom is a long-time friend of Amos's and involved in the book art scene in Chicago, IL.

February 14, 2008 : Filming in Chicago

Laura and Michelle sat down with Patrick Welch for an interview for Proceed and Be Bold. Welch is a founder of the Micromentalist Movement in the art world. He was also interviewed by Justin Kaufmann on a recent edition of "Hello Beautiful" on Chicago Public Radio. Listen to that interview here.
